The semi-acoustic Kat guitars from Epiphone are widely praised by guitarists with backgrounds in different styles of music. This Uptown version is a luxurious-looking thinline archtop with a prominent ES-style vibe and two mini-humbuckers. These ProBucker FB720 pickups give you that amplified Alnico II sound that can usually only be found in Firebird solid-bodies with blade-style pickups from the mid '60s.
The Uptown Kat ES: Superbly Stable & Highly Flexible
The 5-ply laminated body parts guarantees a strong, stable construction and a resonant-rich sound while a spruce centerblock keeps any feedback at bay. Grover Rotomatic machine heads, a Graphtech string nut and the Epiphone LockTone bridge carefully maintain tuning stability and finish a model perfect for anything from smooth jazz and soul-stirring blues to any flavour known to man.

Bel instrument, bonne fabrication, bonne jouabilité dès la sortie d'emballage. J'aime particulièrement le son, timbre et équilibre,sa polyvalence pour beaucoup de styles,micros ni trop ni trop peu puissants, les potentiomètres progressifs et le volume général, la touche en ébène très agréable, les mécaniques au top. L'instrument est assez lourd bien que plus petit qu'une ES335, mais ce n'est qu'un constat pas un reproche.
